Trail Discussion: Feb 10th Weekend- in Calico

What a great time we all had, yet again, at Calico! My first time going up Gatekeeper alone made my weekend! But there was so many more good times to be had. We got the chance to meet other MJR members that came out for the day on Saturday (JK08) and Jon (Jonrubi) that came out to camp with Lorie, Skylar, and myself. What a great group to go out wheeling with.

I really look forward to seeing the videos and pictures that Danny (JK08) took of Lorie and I going up the side loop at the end of Doran trail.

Cool videos! I think Jeff was thinking he was a little too close the rock on that 2nd video LOL His eyes got pretty big on that one. How exciting was that though?! Let's go do it again!! Thanks go out to everyone who was taking pics and video. Bummer my digital crapped out on me..or we'd have even more.

Nice Skylar! Jon and I had so much fun standing his buggy up like that on the gatekeeper. What a ride!! I think on that particular ride, I drove it up and he drove it down What a Blast!! And we met up with some of the coolest people out there..I could have done another 2 days easy!

And she did turn on on the first attempt with no smoke or spills at all. That was really cool to see...wish I was in it.


Here is proof that even Lorie needs to get strapped every now and then.

I think her car (oops, I mean Jeep) knew what was coming and spit up her lunch...Manifold Burrito!


Here I was practicing climbing the wall without damage...Oh well, I need more practice.

Nice job Danny..this video kicks butt!! And nobody got any body damage even though some of the camera angles looks like we did..Too much fun!

Great video Danny thanks for the time you put into it.

Dak--As soon as I learn how to use my GPS I'll be happy to create .gpx file. I don't even know at this point if my Garmin GPSmap 62st is capable of doing that but if it is and I learn how, I would be happy to get those for the trails we go on.
