That's what I came up with too..confirmation would be great b/c I don't know where I'm really going either. If I don't meet up with Kurt along the way, looks like I'm venturing up alone. Nobody to caravan up with from Ventura And everybody that knows me, knows I get lost in a brown paper bag!

You cannot miss it, there are 3 gas stations in Lucerne Valley, they are all on the right hand side coming from Apple Valley or Barstow.
It's the second gas station

LOL Ohh, you know I'll get there! And I look at it this way- I'm still in my happy place, simply because I'm in my Jeep. Lost or not

Saturday's meeting points are the corner of Camprock road and Highway 247, or at Chicken rock if you are familiar with that.

As long as you get to Hesperia/ Apple Valley from the 15 FWY and then head east on Bear Valley rd keep following till it runs in to the highway coming from Barstow, turn right on that follow that through Lucerne Valley and on Friday meet up at the Valero gas station or on Saturday keep going straight on the same road for about 10 miles after Lucerne Valley you will see eventually a sign for Camp rock rd it's where the road curves to the right you would see a bunch of Jeeps sitting on the left side of the road. Pretty darn easy isn't it?

Oh, if it's hiding in plain sight I CAN miss it!!! I get lost going to the bathroom! LOL!!!
Not sure if Jacque and I are towing or riding. We'll make that decision as the run gets closer. What are the 'normal temps out there this time of year?

HOOYAH!!!

Im coming Friday AM. Gona leave Ventura around 0515 or so..that work? Don't know about any roads out there, but understand I need to look for Bear Valley Rd off the 15.. As for making a right where the HWY from Barstow is, I'm assuming I'll see a sign for that? And know where to go right? If I get lost, at least you'll know I'll be out wondering around the nearby area I'm going to chat with Kurt when he gets back and see if we can't meet up again...thanks for the info!

at the end of Bear valley rd you can only turn left or right. You go right. It will explain it self when you get there then follow the road till you get to LUCERNE VALLEY, You cannot miss the Valero station it is about in the middle of town on the right hand side.
You cannot mess this up no way, no how lol

Forecast from NWS:
Friday: Mostly Sunny with a high near 66F
Saturday: A chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 58F

Here's the NWS link, check it often as desert weather forecasting is a crap-shoot and changes constantly:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

For Those camping:

Here are the lat/long of the campsite: N34 39'06.9" W116 49'32.7

The county road names are messed up in this area. The road you want to turn on off Camp Rock is Cambria Rd. Your map or GPS may say Comet Rd, Solar Rd, or Granite Rd. TURN ON CAMBRIA and follow it to the first rock out cropping on your right. That is where we will have camp set up.

Please let me know if you are camping and your ETA so we will be looking for you. I will have my CB on CH 04 and the ham radio at 146.550 MHz. Pm me for my cell if you want it, but I'm not 100% it will work there.

(I'm also posting this on the Saturday run thread)
