I just received an e-mail announcing that the Crossing of America Tour Jeeps will be stopping at Orange Coast Motors in Costa Mesa on Saturday.

The event is Crossing of America. We brought our friends Orange Coast Jeep in Costa Mesa aboard & they are now an official stop Saturday 5/28/11. The caravan will arrive from San Diego about 11am-11:30. Opening Ceremonies 12:00 am & will stay @ Orange Coast Jeep till about 3pm-4pm. Details & description of this event on link below.

Orange Coast Motors will donate $500 per car sold over the Memorial Day weekend Fri 5/27 to Mon 5/30 to a military related cause. OC Motors sells 20 cars a day on a normal May weekend, so the amount raised could be substantial.
Attending guests are US Army Southern California Recruiting Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Tom Hansbarger. Also a Army Color Guard, Miss San Diego singing the National Anthem, Costa Mesa Chief of Police, a representative from Assemblyman Mansoor's office, NFL Auumni (49ers, Rams) Kermit Alexander, Tim Abell former Army Ranger & host of TV show Grateful Nation, link: http://www.federalpremium.com/federa...ul_nation.aspx

Crossing of America’s only stop in Orange County for wounded and fallen Soldiers and their families.
Costa Mesa CA, 5-28-2011- Orange Coast Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge will be the only stop in Orange County during the Crossing of America’s 12,500 mile trek across the United States to create awareness, and raise funds for our wounded and fallen Soldiers and their families. During this 105 day journey across America the two “Spirit of Liberty” Jeep Wranglers will be driven by high profile Celebrities, Sports figures, Government officials, POW’s, Medal of Honor recipients, and Family Members of fallen Heroes.
Orange Coast Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge is honored to be part of this historic campaign to raise money for such well deserving recipients. We will donate $500 for every car sold during the “Spirit of Liberty” stop at our dealership Saturday May 28th. In addition Orange Coast Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge has decided to dedicate the entire Memorial Day weekend (May 27th through May 30th) to our men and women in uniform. We will also extend the $500 a car donation to the days “Spirit of Liberty” is not participating.
For every car sold on Fri 5/27, Sun 5/29 & Mon 5/30, Orange Coast will donate $500 to an Armed Forces related cause. The causes will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, US Army Advisory Council among others. 100% of the pledged funds will go directly to these causes.
We’re excited about the support we will receive from the community, public officials, and welcome all to come join our Orange Coast family in making this event a huge success.
