  • Trail Run: Rattlesnake loop

Roger asked if I would do Rattlesnake today with him so that he could take his sister from the bay area and LeAnne out for the day in the Jeeps. I know this sounds silly and I've said it before, but this was one of the best ever runs! We had no schedule, went slow, explored new things, saw nobody else for 6 1/2 hours on the trail, incredible 78' day with not one cloud in the sky. I also added mine tunnel #96 and #97 to my list. So close to the magic 100 mine tunnels entered.

Thanks Roger, LeAnne, and Sharron for the awesome day!

    Mitch

    Rattlesnake Canyon

All I said was who likes marshmellows?

Nice bug just left of center

LeAnne at the miners rock cabin foundation

Cave across from the rock foundation (Never noticed this before)

100' mine tunnel just past the rock foundation in Rattlesnake Canyon

I had to tease Roger by driving his next Jeep up Mottino a little ways.

Mining Camp at upper end of Rattlesnake Canyon

Over 100 Canadian Geese over head. I really need the big telephoto lens for this.

    Rose Mine area

Incredible colored tree on 3N03 in Cactus Flats. Loving my new camera!!!!

Hey Thanks Mitch for joining us. Jeepin' going to be different for me after you move.

Yep, it was me and the Po' Boys last Jeepin' adventure. I sure learned a lot from him.

Mitch, you will sure be missed around here. Yours and Rogers trail/run reports motivate a lot of people to get out and explore.

Thats a really nice YJ you picked up Roger. Anytime you want to do some exploring let me know. My Brother and I are out most weekends doing pretty much the same type Jeepin you and Mitch have been doing.

That's good to know Gary. We'll have to put a run together.
