Trail Discussion: Big Bear always amazes

So, after reading about wheelin all week -- I decided to sneak a quik run up to Onyx on Sat nite. With all the rain; was excited about gettin a lil dir-tay. Misty and foggy on way up. However, got to 1N01 and it was almost dry! Took the turnoff towards JS CG and stayed the night @ "Doc's" cabin. The weather at the cabin is always the best weather I encounter when I head up lately. Woke up to dry and clear, but the drive back thru town and down the 18/330 was WET. Just amazing. Almost like the cabin and 1N01 were in a different hemisphere. The quickie trip didn't do much to satisfy my itch for wheelin', but its always a relaxing time up there...
