  • Trail Run: 3rd Annual Honor the Veterans Veteran's Day Run

Well we've had such a great time at the previous Veteran's Day runs that it only seemed right to do it again.

This year, the run will be the trail that goes around the mtns to the east of Means dry lake. We'll check out a few mines along the way.

Veteran's Day is a Thursday this year so I was thinking that possibly I would camp at Means and maybe do another run on Friday if anyone would like to. I've been fixing up a little trailer all summer to tow behind my Jeep and this would be a good place to test it out. So if anyone is interested in camping also, let me know.

Get this on your calendar and I'll add more info as we get closer.

BTW - You do not have to be a Veteran to honor the Vet's!

I'll have an open passenger seat if your Jeep's not ready.

                Roger,
Would love to go camping with you, but I do have to work on Friday morning. I'll take you up on the passenger seat. I'll just Park the green beast at where we air down.

                      Updated information:

When you come down Boone Rd. you will cross a concrete bridge over a deep wash. Keep going until you get to the BLM Information sign. It will be our meeting place at 10:00 AM.

If you arive early, and I'm not there yet I'm camping straight west from there about 1/2 mile up against the hill. Look for my black CJ7 and my 14' older travel trailer.

I'll be monitoring both CB ch 04 and 146.550 2m frequency.

                      See you guys there!

The run is leaving for the day. If you're running late, and need to catch up, Roger is on 146.72 (Big Bear) and so am I.
