  • Trail Report: The M****** trail

    Ok

So it probably is not new to a lot of you, but just had my first experience on Mottino yesterday. IT WAS AWESOME! Believe it was the first spot there is an option to go left "hard" or right "easier". This was where I acquired all my confidence for the rest of the trail. The first vehicle to go through on the left was not far enough over to the drivers side & had a bit of a time getting through. After seeing a couple more out of our group of about 12 make it I figured I at least had to try. The Jeep walked it like it wasn't a thing... YES! It was a really long day, the 4dr JK's had their work cut out for them. Only one tire was sacrificed, I believe an evap skid took a bit of abuse and had to be reattached, of course the sliders were really being worked also. What a great trip and a fantastic challenge.

If Mottino was uphill the whole way instead of flat ground it would be similar if I remember correctly.

Clawhammer is a step up from Motino wash, still it's a really fun trail. Motino is a nice step up from Dishpan and John Bull. Clawhammer is a step up from Motino

I think we start on Mottino around 11am.

Scott, you are the man! Just proves even more I drive a girl Jeep using deep gearing/ lockers to keep up with you. If some one gets another run planned up there I am ready to go when you are.

These were sent to me today, figured they were worthy enough to post. This was the first section that built my confidence for the rest of the day.
