I've yet to have the opportunity to see this area yet. I would like to join if I may. Saturday works best. Is there another way to get to the trailhead from the southwest for us down the hill people?

I always go around the mountain to the 18 Jason. I believe it's quicker.

Take the 605 N to 210 E to 15 N to Victorville & get off @ Bear Valley Rd. Turn right & follow Bear Valley which turns into the 18 to Lucerne Valley. The Valero is at the intersection of the 18 & the 247 (18 continues on up the backside of the mountain to Big Bear. 247 continues on to Yucca Valley.) From Lakewood your looking at 115 miles & 2 hours to the meet point.

That's how I was going to go. Mitch, if you're going, can I leave my truck at your place again? Then I'll head over with you.

                                Jason,

That would be fine. Anytime you need to drop it! 7:30am would be the leave time for next Saturday.
