  • Trail Run: desert exploring stock friendly run 20100403

    light wheeling and exploring. there are some Indian rock paintings that id like to see for myself and all sorts of interesting things out there. i will update this top post with details

    Where: Rodman petroglyphs, Rodman radio tower, soggy dry lake, WW2 bombing target

    Trip lenght: 50 miles

    Difficulty: 1-2.4 trail-rating

    When: 9:00AM valario gas station

    CB channel: 14
    GRSM channel: 4



    Requirments:
    -working reliable truck
    -full tank of gas(trip is 50 miles)
    -lunch and water
    -one recovery point
    -full size spare tire

    Recommended:
    -camera
    -passengers
    -flashlight for any mines of opertunity

    Troy,this sound like a cool exploring trip.We would jump on this,but I'm on call this weekend.Take lots a pic's.

      If I can get my oil changed before this weekend, I'm down. Busy schedule due to school but I may be able to work something out. Will post tomorrow if I can for sure.

        finalized trip plans. the other run was 70 miles and would probably take too long

          Unfortunately, I'm out. Big test friday so I wont get to my Jeep until Saturday morning. Maybe next time for me.

              hmmm anyone got info on the bombing target by soggy lake? im assuming its a WW2 thing cause there are others in the area. but i cant find any info on it even thought its really well traveled

                              Means Dry lake still has craters from the bombing practice. The target rings are to the east & south of that lake.
