Trail Run: Calico

Steve, Fred and me are thinking about having some fun next Sunday on some of the better Calico trails.
Provided of course that it does not rain.
The plan is for Doran loop, Odessa and that funny climb at the end of it and Wallstreet. Meeting point will be Peggy Sue, have no time yet but most likely around 8-9 AM Bring Jeep, lockers and some decent tires. 33's or bigger ought to do it.

Had a buddy with 33s with an LS make it through Doran with no problem. Only hung up on the waterfall once.

Yeah last year I did Odessa and Duran both ways in the same jeep on 33,s plus I,ve regeared since then from 3.55 to 4.56,s so I,d be ok, anyway I have rope..lol

You should know that in "Art Speak" 'Better' means the opposite of the common definition in the English language. Be very, very careful when he describes a trail as a "Fire Road". Be sure your triple A membership is paid up...

Looks like you all had a great time!

I was out there that day looking for routes that I could go on with my Scrambler.

It looks like I can drive a lot of what's there, but I don't think I could get over Bismark Canyon or Odessa Canyon with my stock rig even by taking the bypasses.

The route from Bismark Mine to Wall St. Overlook and the Stone Cabin was one thing that I couldn't find, but I'll have to try again soon.
