  • Trail Report: Pilot Rock Run and Trail Clearing

10 OHV Volunteers and Adopt A Trail members met at Cedar Springs Dam to clear some obstacles on Pilot Rock Road.

The first obstacle was this downed, dead oak.

Half the crew stayed back and cleared it with chainsaws. The rest of us proceeded up the trail to the rockfall that was blocking the trail. There was enough room for motorcycles and quads to get by but not full size vehicles.

We winched enough rocks out of the way to get by with the vehicles.

We came upon on more downed tree across the trail (forgot to take a picture of that one). After that it was fresh snow and first tracks.

We had no tracks until the intersection of 2N34.

You should have taken the rocks to the rock garden on 3N93. We could have used them.

    Nice work.
    Check out .

Half of them are still there. LOST Jeeps is doing a maintenance run next week to clear the rest.

Great pics and nice report. Looks like a great way to spend a day.

Ditto on Chuck's comment on the rocks. We could use them on HC.
