      Scott,

I hope that you guys have a great time out there. If I wasnn't working I would join you. Still should be a bunch of snow at the top and plenty of water running. 2N02 will be icey in the shade, 20' last night! Take the Camera.

I would be there except I had to go to the DMV to renew my Driver License this morning. I'd rather be wheeling with Scott, Lesa, & Josh - but you all know that!

            Rattlesnake in the snow

Sorry these Pic's are late but Photobucket's been giving me fits.

Lesa and I met Josh (SnyderCJ7) in Lucerne and then headed out to Rattlesnake. As we headed out of Lucerne it was cool out with plenty of sun. Once we got aired down and on our way up the trail the clouds rolled in but it was still a nice day. We didn't get into any snow until about half way up the trail.

We decided to bring the kids with us. This is Boomer.

            ...and this is Tilly

The Joshua Tree forest look beautiful with a blanket of snow.

We got up in to the Joshua Trees the snow got deep! and there were no tracks ahead. It was at least 3 to 4 feet in some places. So Josh took the lead and we stopped to put the chains on his 35's.

It was tough in places and Josh even had a hard time with chains on.

We made it to 2N02 and that was as far as we were going. Their were no tracks at all comming off 2N02 and with a climb, to over 6000 ft we figured the snow would be twice as deep as it was where we were.

Headed back down Rattlesnake, taking off the chains.

            Josh playin on the rocks.

We made our way back to Hwy 247, aired up and headed home. Thanks for going out there with us Josh, It was an awesome day!
