  • Trail Run: Last chance for Nightmare Gulch run

Checked Redrock SP website. The Nightmare Gulch closed to ohv traffic time starts Feb 01.

So on that note, will be doing a run of both Nightmare and Last chance on Sunday 31-Jan.

Post up if your interested, I have not been through Nightmare before so if anyone wants to pull trail lead I am all for it.

Figuring on meeting up at Jawbone store at 10am on Sunday, if another meeting time is suggested im flexible.

    Matt & kids...

I am interested in going. I have some work to do on my YJ before hand. Where do you plan to meet? Time? I will know better if I can go by Friday evening.
    Never the last trail!:cactus:

I think it's for the Condors or some other birds to breed. Nightmare has some weird schedule...only open half the year and the half the year that it is open, it's only open the second half of the month. Apparently the birds need a couple weeks a month to do their thing.

I am up for a Saturday run as well. That is far enough away from home that I prefer to stay overnight and return home Sunday afternoon.

The canyon is awesome dry and I can't wait to run it with water.

So if it has to be Sunday I would go.

Yes, but that's not where you drop into Last Chance from Nightmare. You enter Last Chance via Opal Canyon, which hits Last Chance near Camp Cudehay (sp?)

For some bizarre reason, the ProBowl is the Sunday BEFORE the SuperBowl this year
