Organized Event: King of Hammers, MJR consolidation

Jeff Knoll released the planned layout for the lakebed during KOH week.

I figured it might be nice for all of us to be in one area make an MJR meet/greet outta KOH.

Here is the map that was released.

Monday thru Friday. Febuary 8th - 12th. With actual races on Thursday and Friday, Febuary 11th & 12TH.

Actually, the Last Chance Qualifier races are on Tue and Wed, the UTV race is on Thur and as stated KOH Race is on Fri.

It does not note the start time on Friday, but it has been at 8:30 in the past. This year they will be running til after dark....how late, Dave Cole has to decide.

The key is to show up early, buy a schedule and map of the course and figure out where you want to go. It is to be about 135 miles and 15 trails. Also, they have an exclusive use permit for the event this year, which means you cannot be on the race course.

I plan on being out there early Friday morning and perhaps camping that night.
