The Rocketry Organization of California (ROC) is having their bi-annual 3 day event called Rocstock this weekend at the Lucerne Dry Lake Bed. If you are tooling around the Lucerne Valley anytime this weekend, and want to see some model and high power rockets fly, I highly recommend checking this out. Very fun family event !! I set up a run a few months ago that combined this event with a Jeep run on Rattlesnake Canyon. A very fun event. They obtain FAA approval for a 14,000 foot ceiling waiver. Yeah thats over 2 miles straight up. Quite a sight for all.
