ROWHER TRAIL to reopen on NOVEMBER 7th 2009

Today my club HIGH DESERT 4 WHEELERS with the forest service did a pre run of the ROWHER FLATS TRAIL to make sure the trail was ready to open to the public on nov. 7th. (LOOKS GOOD TO REOPEN)

The trail has been graded in some spots and the gate keeper waterfall has been cut down.

here is some pics of the trail run

some of the back side is over grown but not to bad

After 2 years it will be great to get this trail reopened Larry....

WooHooooo! That is Fantastic News! Thanks for helping to get this trail reopened. Will this also include the rest of the trails in the OHV, especially Lookout Peak Trail?

And Mitch, I doubt that you will enjoy this trail, but if you want to go, let me know.

It's great news that Rowher is going to reopen. Do you have any pics of the "gatekeeper" at the Bouquet Canyon end of the trail? If not, I hope that Schmoe will post some up after his run....

I think everyone that was there that day has memories of Russ on the gatekeeper!!!

Me too . . . went up there the first weekend I had my Jeep . . . didn't have a clue as to what I was doing and almost rolled it!!! That was back before I knew about things like airing down, disconnecting, etc. I remember having to take 5 after getting out of a nasty spot . . . my legs were shaking so much, I was having trouble with the clutch!!!

The gatekeeper from Bouquet Cyn was graded down, now it is just a hill with small rocks and sand.... The trail still is rated black but more of a blue trail now.

I love Rowher Flats. Haven't been on it since 2004. Can't wait to go back!
