Thanks Flatout . . . I'm there . . . when's the next trip??? Is there still time to do it this season, or will the weather up there change soon with T-Storms, rain, etc?

You got a couple more weeks to run this trail. Get some friends and camping gear together and go have fun, the Purty Jeep might come back from it with some dings and scratches though. This trail is about 10 John Bulls and 5 Motino washes with an on going tree slalom thrown in for good measure, add to that beautiful scenery and great views at the lakes near the campgrounds.

I'll keep an eye out to see if I can find a group to tag along with otherwise, this and the Rubicon are on my must absolutely do list for next year. Been thru John Bull a bunch of times . . . I'll have to check out Motino wash and practice on that a few times if I can't make it up there this year. I've done a lot of local wheelin this year, which is great, but seeing these types of write ups and pics makes me feel like I'm really missing out . . . I've got the vacation time, I just need to bite the bullet and do some planning.

Thanks for the pictures, it makes me dream a little easier. I'm like Schmo with the time coming up and I think my Jeep is in order, I just need to find some people and do the planning. I have had the Dusy,Rubicon, and Fordyce on my list for awhile. Thanks again for the pics!

Take Josh along he should be able to get you through it, the big thing is to take it easy and stay focused, every tree aslong the trail is scarred from people leaning in to them or turning a little to early or to late. It just does not let up, even the easy stuff you got to stay alert on. Its 33 miles of low range first second and when you are lucky some third gear but those spots are few and short.

This is some of the harder stuff

                Great pics Fred!

How were the mosquitos? We went in July and the buggers were BAD! 'Off!' did the trick to make it bearable, but I'm curious how it was this time of year?
