Okay, a few people have been asking me when the next "Easy Night Run" is going to be. So, I'm planning another easy night run on Saturday 8/1/09. We will head up Jacoby Canyon then across 3N16 to 3N14 and back down into Apple Valley. We did this same run last summer and it was so much fun! We will stop along the way as much as everyone wants. The run will last about 5 or 6 hours if you run the whole thing with us, so bring a snack or two, and it will be cool up in the Big Bear area at night so bring jackets, sweats and blankets if you want to.
We will be meeting at the Valero in Lucern Valley Between 6 and 6:30 pm for fuel and then head up to the trail head and air down. (Mitch reminded me that the "Bull Frog night run" is going on the same night so, the Valero might be a little busy!!) For those that want to come over from the Big Bear side you can meet us at the trail head between 7 and 7:30. The trail head is on the Lucern Valley side of Highway 18, right at the 6000 ft level sign.
The sun has been setting about 8:00 pm so if everyone is there at the trail head by 7:30 pm, that should give us enough time to get aired down and have a quick driver meeting before we head out.
This will be a real easy run and it is open to stock JEEP's.
All JEEP's should have PULL/TOW POINTS. Jacoby Canyon has a few tight spots but nothing we cant get a stock JEEP through. It's also a good idea to have a CB.
This will be a real fun run! Hope to see you there!
Feel free to ask or "PM" me with any questions!
Scott
