Wow Mike,

You'll have quite the crowd including the 8-10 from FJ forum.

I plan on making this run too. My new aussie locker should be here by next week which gives me the the weekend to install it. I doubt I'll need it, but it'll be fun to play with it.

Well I did the pre-run today. The trails are great - now I can't wait to do the whole run. I did Heartbreak in 2wd in the down hill direction, so this trail is good. It was my first trip on Horsethief. this is an awesome trail, VERY scenic. It has one rough spot (pictured), but nothing major. It's steep but no problems going up it.

I think all in all we'll have a fun, full day of 4 wheelin. Part of the run will be graded dirt, but the rest are 4x trails. So come prepared for that.

Items to bring:
WATER (plenty)
Sun block
Flashlight
Air pump for tires. Harbor Frieght has a $50 pump that looks just like the Viair 300. (if your on a budget)
Camera

A few lead-in pix.

Mike,

Great teaser pictures! Looks like you will have a great run. I am going to check out that mine tomorrow morning (Sat), looks awesome. Can't believe I've driven by it several times. Time to re-visit the Rose Mine area, a dozen tunnels at one point years ago.

Thanks

Mitch

Is this run suitable for an old full size Jeep pick up truck once you get beyond Round Valley?

I've been to that arrastre in that first teaser pic. There was a natural running spring and an out house there, but that was 12 or so years ago.

There are a couple of difficult areas beyond Round Valley. I wouldn't recomend a large vehicle. Also Horsethief wouldn't be recomended for a full size vehicle.
