Mitch is right about the Monte Cristo mine being in that same area. That one is being taken care of by a property management company that has a resident on site to warn of spalunkers. Some good info if you google Monte Cristo Mine Angeles.
I'll have to do a search.

    Thanks!

      I found it!

I found a picture of the mine I saw from the road.

It is on the following web page:

      http://www.lagoldmines.com/index.php?page=557265.txt

This mine is described by the writer on that web page by saying, "It has no name just a mining claim number. I have dubbed it 'Falcon Mine Annex'."

The picture is just below the words I quote above.

That site has some pretty cool info on it. I was looking at it earlier today. Would be nice to get up there and explore some of those mines. Im getting burned out on Calico mines. You can only visit the Silver King and Bizmark so many times before you finally get them memorized. There is a few adits that I saw from Philips Dr on the east side of Oddessa that I havent been able to locate access to yet. But they seem to have had some major mining back in the days.

            I'm going again...

I know it's kind of a last minute run, but I'm planning to go up there again this Saturday.

I've put up a thread for it here:

            http://www.myjeeprocks.com/forums/sh...075#post139075

I thought I'd put a note about it here, since it seems that a few of you that posted in this thread might want to go.

Maybe we'll find some more mines to look at!

Also, maybe someone will bring a camera. I still haven't replaced the battery in mine. I looked for it in a couple of shops, but no one had it. I'll have to get it online.

Hope to see some of you there! Post in the other thread if you want to go.
