Trail Run: Ord Mountains

Went out today with Max and Lila for an easy putt checking out some local mining areas and enjoying the fresh air. The new axle has the great88 back to normal again. We did some exploring, played with the 12 ga. and just relaxed enjoying the local trails. A nice easy day. Amazing that the Chuckwalla's are so tame, could have reached out and petted them today.

That is a good size Chuckwalla. Glad to see Max getting out. He should do that more often. hint, hint. Looks like a nice day in the HD.

Regarding the Chuckwalla's, we ran Outer Limits and a couple of other Hammer trails on Saturday and saw a BUNCH of them. The one that entertained us the most was a guy (or gal) who was hanging/walking around on a mesquite bush (maybe?) and eating. It was good sized and amazing that it did not fall off. Guess it had done that before. Lots of lizards also, but did not see any snakes.

The desert is a neat place.
