  • Trail Report: John Bull Trail

[COLOR="Blue"]We had a great run on the John Bull trail today. About a dozen attended, a great group.

The trail seemed a little rougher but nothing major. We had no breakage, just a nice easy drive across the trail.

It seemed funny not spending 7-8 hours on the trail, I'm not used to these short 1 1/2 to 2 hour trails, with trees on them. I miss that blowing sand when airing up.

It was a fun day, thanks to all who attended.

Image #2 is beatiful. You all got through Gatekeeper in less than 2 hrs? Was there no other traffic on JB?

Great photos, loved the slide show.

I'm going to be in big bear for the 4th of July weekend, and was hoping to ride this trail...

I better make some phone calls...

[COLOR="Blue"]The gatekeeper took about 15 or 20 minutes, the whole trail was approx 2 or so hours with stops. Taking pictures of the rattlesnake took the longest.

We got there just ahead of a few vehicles - one was a VW dunebuggy - and he was planning on running the trail.

Did you see the Land Rover group? My club did a run, 7 land Rovers, including three shiny new LR3's, all made it through. I'll link to some pictures as soon as they start posting up. I'll be their fairly tired, it took them a bit longer than 2 hours, LOL!

That feature does not work the way it should. I've tried to get it right but its just not there yet. I just have the site automatically set the pictures and whatever for right now.

I had a great time on this run. This was my first time on a more extreme trail and it went extremely well thanks to all the experienced locals in attendance. It was a great bunch of people to be on the trail with. I especially enjoyed following Frank up, he had the lines down pat.

                      Awesome photos too!

A short clip I got at the start.
