WOW!.. Thank God no one was seriously injured. When I saw that hand pop out of the window I thought, "Oh man, there goes that arm!" looks like he popped the clutch and tried to roll back instead of getting on the skinny. That hill didnt look that bad until they started rolling. Speedy recovery!

Wow! Danger danger... That could have been UGLY! Good job to everyone that worked getting that situation under control, glad to see the owners are going to be ok and the pooch is recovering. That is scary stuff.

WOW! I heard about this the other night. To see it left me speachless. Ok. Question? How are you guys improving your roll cage? Is it possible to see some pictures, etc. This alone could save a life.

wow, just wow.
you definately dont skimp when it comes to safety. a good roll cage though you may never use it is the best investment on your jeep. that and seat belts.
if you watch the video look at the line the guy in front of him took. then look at how he was going he missed the line by about a foot.

If you get a rock hard cage make sure you have someone weld the part that wraps around the tubes I hear they can twist still allowing the cage to collaspe in a roll over situation. I am not sure but does it still use the thin factory bar that the door surround bolts onto? In my eyes that area is the most important since its right above you.

I would try to stay away from bolted in kits if possible. Gen Right makes a good welded in kit as to some others, and there are several people on MJR that can install them for you. Make sure to check out their work first, especially the welds. If you see big, snotty, porous welds, go elsewhere.

If you decide to go for the full custom cage, use the best tubing you can afford, tie the pillars into the frame and brace the pillars diagonally. Stay away from large diameter tubing and extra tubes that don't add any strength. A lot of people like the "Jungle Gym" look, but it adds weight where you want it the least. Make sure to pick a shop that really knows what their doing, a cage is a lot more than a bunch of tube welded together.
