I have a guest speaker who will give a 20 minute presentation on the basics of Amateur Radio.

There are a few experienced hams who will be in attendance that will be happy to share some 1 on 1 info with us newbies.

There should be quite a few rigs with radios and antennas installed for everyone to look at and ask questions.

Have you selected a call in frequency?

Well.....I passed the Element 3 exam today, so I guess that makes me "temporary AG" to some. Will try my luck with Element 4 within a month or two.

I've added another speaker.

Dave Smith W6DPS will give a short presentation (approx 10 minutes) starting at 5pm on the basics of amateur radio. There will be a question and answer session.

We'll take a break after Dave and check out radios in the vehicles in the parking lot and mingle.

Did you Mean 146.52 MHz? That's the National 2m travel Frequency and 146.50 MHz is close enough to possibly interfere.

156.52 might be better, just a suggestion

I'm sorry about that.

I just discovered that my Yeasu is not working properly. I can't go into VFO mode, so I can't put in any new frequencies. I have 146.52 programed in, so I'm okay with that one. Dang, that's all I need another thing of mine breaking.
