Stupid me typed all this stuff on the sign up comments!

    Carlos,

First of all, don't beat yourself up too bad about posting all this in the sign up comments. It take a little while to get the hang of MJR!

    Here's some suggestions:

CB radio & Antenna (this is a must really)

Since it will be very hot, bring a gallon of water for each occupant in your Jeep. Add two more gallons also!

    Bring a lunch & snacks.

    Hat & sun block

    These are the basics.

Plan on topping off your gas tank at the meeting place.

    I hope this helps

      ***Important Notice***

After pre-running part of the trail yesterday, I realized I need to cut off sign-ups.
I'm really sorry to have to do this but the group is getting too large.

I also really need to hold the maximum to 12 vehicles. I want to hold off on dropping guest vehicles for a little while to see if anyone will be dropping out.

      Again I apologize.

Thanks for the thanks! I can't think of anything at the moment you could help with. But if I do, I'll contact you.

This should be a good run!

I recommend all the fairly new & new mwmbers going on this run to read the first two threads in the "Trail Rides & Events" Forum. There is a lot of good information there. It will help you be prepared for this run.

                Thanks!

Roger, I cleaned it up. All posts made in this thread about the CB discussion were moved:

                      Mat,

I hated to do it, but what started out as a simple justified question really morphed away from the topic!

                      Thanks!

Is this a "rock" run or more of a "dirt trail" run?

                        Found this. What rating

                          Ron,

Roger's run is on dirt roads and your stocker will be fine. After all the upgrades you'll be looking for those extra credit spots.Bring lunch, snacks, and lots of water or sports type drinks.

if the main trail is a basic run, no number needed, but i am really curious as to the "extra credit" rating

By extra credit they mean there may be an area of the trail that is wide or has a pile of rocks next to the trail. It will be obvious that it is not essential to drive over these rocks to continue on the trail. Because these are not really part of the trail there really is no rating for them. But considering Johnson Valley is home to some of the most extreme rock trails in Southern California, I think it would be safe to assume that if you chose to you could find a place to damage your Jeep. Roger just did this run in a nearly stock CJ without lockers on 31s. I think that you will have no trouble in your RUBI. Depending on the grouped size, which is probably going to be at least 12 Jeeps, we probably will not do too many extra credit lines as this tends to hold up the whole group.
