doubleoh7,
Mitch is right. Normally when a trail run is posted it will indicate whether it's easy, moderate, difficult, or extreme.
The runs I've put together appeal to those who want to explore and maybe learn a little history along the way. I also attract those that can't afford to break their Jeep There is usually an "exta credit" bypass or pile of rocks along the way for those who want to see what their Jeep will do!
If you would like to attend, please go to the first post in this thread, click on the link, and sign up.

I-15 north to the Bear Valley Rd.
Exit and go east on BV Rd. Eventually it merges onto Hwy 18
Continue east on Hwy 18 to Lucerne Valley
The Vallero Station is in the middle of town on the Right side of the Hwy. You can't miss it.
If you come to the 4-way stop, you went too far!
Allow 45 minutes driving time from the freeway to the meeting place.
We'll be monitoring CB ch 04.
You should plan on topping off your gas tank at the Vallero Station.SBCO Fire Dept. CERT volunteer

Novice interested on this run
Hi Roger, I'm actually new to your site not new to Jeeps but a rookie for this kind of runs. This sounds like something my TJ and its driver can handle. What do I need to do to make sure I can attend this run? Thanks for your time.
Stupid me typed all this stuff on the sign up comments!

Handhelds do fine in. They can be found for $70-$90. If you can find the time for an install I am planning on doing one of THESE KITS. I have talked to a few people that have used this kit that are very happy. They are the same price as a handheld and do a much better job. But they require a couple hours to install and tune.
I always keep a set of these in case someone needs a tug that does not have recovery points. They are only rated to 4750 lbs working load so I don’t like to use them but they are usually the best option of you are not otherwise prepared.
This looks like it is going to be an easy run and you may not even need to put your jeep in 4WD. But MJR people are friendly and responsible. In all the runs I've done with MJR I have seen lots of mechanical failures. But I have never seen anyone left behind. Those left standing
