  • Trail Report: 2N04 or Onyx Peak and Juniper Springs

I though I would upload a pictorial story of our trip today. We started at Startbucks in Big Bear, and then we went out the 38 to 2N93 which was closed, so we kept going on 38 to 2N04. We went up to Juniper Spring ate lunch, and then we went on up to Onyx Peak. A short morning, but very enjoyable for the wife and kids. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Well at least 5 pictures.. I guess that's the most I can upload at a time.

I put a partial map of where we went. Still learning how to use the GPS.

2N93 is one of the trails the USFS closes in winter. I'm not sure when it will reopen. Maybe May 1st? Be sure and go back and run it, it is a beautiful trail.

Looks like you made the best of the day! You guys were in a great area.

Generally they open winter closures aroung Memorial Day. Kinda late, but it seems to be that time avery year.

Yes I definitely want to go back to 2N93 and climb that 9000+ peak.
