  • Trail Run: Ridgecrest

I left Norco at 5am. After meeting people in Ridgecrest we headed North to Olancha. Ben joined the group and we headed South a couple of miles to Cactus Flat Rd.

We left Fossil Falls and headed south on 395 to Indian Wells Canyon.

      Sonny's Place near Five Fingers

At the end of Indian Wells Canyon is the trailhead for Owens Peak.

We finished the day at John's Pizza in Ridgecrest. Pizza buffet. Yum.

Home at 9:30pm. Another great day on the trails in So Cal.

            Doug,

Looks like a great trip! While at the Mc Cloud Mine, did you guy's check out the Jack Henry mine or the Five Tunnels Mine? There are several other tunnels just east of both of them. Looks like a nice full day, and John's does have good pizza.

            Thanks for sharing

Those are some of the best photos of Fossil Fall's I've ever seen. They really give a great flavor for the place. I've been there a few times, and never took a photo I liked. My best efforts are here:
