Man, that trail is callin me. I'm glad you all went and had a good time. Something about Mojave Trail is kinda romantic, in a historical context. You kinda feel like your crossing the country with the pioneers. Great pics everyone, thanks.[CENTER][COLOR=#ff0000]Resistance Off Road

Rat, you described it perfectly! There is no other trail quite like it. With Jeri Lyn & Carolee taking turns narating out of the guide book, it really brought the trail to life. Heck I might go again in the fall!SBCO Fire Dept. CERT volunteer

They were great it was like being on a guided trip thru Lion Country Safari but in the desert ..I would start to listen to a CD and when they would narrate I would turn my music off ..made it really interestin..."A man who fears suffering,is already suffering from what he fears"!

Our club's run turned out to be great also, except for Saturday evening. We had planned to camp three nights on the trail, but by the time we got to the campground at Afton Canyon, it was obvious we had a front coming in. It was sunset and the wind was howling. We decided to go to Peggy Sue's and head home.
If you have not done this trip, you really need to do it. Every vehicle needs to carry the Dennis Casebier book. Reading it over the CB makes it tough.
Just for info, we camped at Fort Piute and Mid Hills. We were lucky to get sites in the pines. Nice campground.Rich
