  • Trail Report: Fairview Valley Exploring

I did some exploring today in the Fairview Valley area of Apple Valley. This is a fun area to check out with many interesting rock and boulder formations, the dry lake, several old springs, and some scattered mines. The weather was perfect after a couple of cold rainy days prior. I went to an old abandoned mine camp that I saw previously a couple of years ago when I was running stock and unsure of things running by myself. Finished the day visiting at Max's house. Wheeling any time is great, but I'm ready to be employed again!

    Mitch

Mine destination is halfway up the mountain straight ahead

Old relic on the way / The road must have been in better shape long ago or this was Bonnie and Clydes old car!

This is what I was looking for!!!!

I knew I left my mattress somewhere. Did you pick it up for me?

      Josh,

I heard that you had a couple stashed around the area. Sorry, but I burned it after the removal. Hmmmm......

        Mitch,

Are you sure you want to go back to work? You have really been enjoying your extended vacation!

When you saw the mattress, I hope you were on guard and kept an eye out for a squatter or a homeless person.

          Roger,

Always got it "Cocked and Locked". I don't take those chances. The .45 has an effect when pointed at you!

There's more than you think. and so much will be destroyed soon. Let me know when you want to see it.

HEY! That's my playground! heh heh

I go up to that mine every couple of months. It looks like somebody cleaned up some since the last time I was there?!?

The *house* (below) fell down last year during some heavy winds.

There is a BUNCH of interesting things back there.
