I just scored a sweet deal on some chromoly 4340 axles. Next time the hairy crack won't be so lucky.

Roger, Chuck drove it of the trail in 3 wheel drive.
As long as the steering does not lock it's allright nothing turns with the hubs unlocked

Well, I took the DJ to 4 Wheel Parts Redondo Beach. Apparently Pumpkin Eater did more to her than we thought. They couldn't believe it when I pulled up and the front Tie Rod was completely loose. I don't think one of us checked it out. After a complete look over, I bent the front tie rod, rear drive shaft and rear axle. They adjusted the ox lockers for me, but I still have the click. They believe it is because of the bent axle.
I have to call on Monday morning to find out how they are going to warranty the axle shaft since it is an Alloy & they have a 10 year warranty/guarantee deal and the Currie tie rod. The Asst Mgr didn't want to make the call on what they were gonna honor since it's part of the TV show deal. So, I drove her home with everything still all bent. No wheeling for the DJ for awhile.

Holy cow! I guess it's better to know, than not?
Good luck Monday! I hope we get em' fixed soon so we can go play.

4 Wheel Parts is going to send me a new replacement axle since it's under manufacturer warranty - yippee!!

The tie rod is not under warranty and the drive shaft was the original one so I have to get replacements for them.

Well, I got the axle out and I don't think it can be reused. :dunno:

Scored a sweet deal on some Alloy USA axles. Here is the comparison versus the stock axle.

Max, Your Hairy Crack will be concurred.
