Google Map
There will be plenty of signs out there, just drive slow it's easy to miss the turn on Holly Rd. in the dark.( no street light there and the street sign is brown )
Stop and say hi if you see me.

This location is the same as the CORVA event last month. S22 is really rotten for the first mile or so after you turn off the main highway, in particular if you have a motorhome. Kinda like riding whoops.
They are building a nice large gas station at the turn at S22 and Highway 86 and some other amenities.Rich

Desert Safari
This year we are returning to the Truckhaven hills in the Northern Area of the Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area, for a weekend of exceptional wheeling, awesome vendors, world famous raffles and the opportunity to support the fight to keep our lands open. Base camp and TDS headquarters will be located 23 miles east from Christmas Circle (Borrego Springs) on S-22 or 3.0 miles west of state highway 86. The exact GPS coordinates are N 33 15.691 W 116 00.857. It is hard to fathom that a family oriented group of 4-wheeling enthusiasts created a club named Tierra Del Sol and have been organizing an event like Desert Safari since 1964, but it is true, and quite frankly we need the offroading communities support to keep it going.
You will have the opportunity to see the latest products, talk directly to the experts and expand your arsenal of information with over 80 vendors present onsite. There will be family oriented games and events for all ages. Of course there is the famous TDS Safari raffle, this year with over $100,000 in prizes and KGB’s radio personality “Chris Boyer” as the master of ceremonies.
We are now at $108,000 plus there will be extra big bonus items in addittion to the main drawing.
See you there
George
