  • Trail Report: Bullfrog CARNAGE

Great day of wheeling on BULLGROG today. When we were airing down I noticed three red TJ's coming up the dirt road towards Chicken Hill; I knew it had to be Mike Koher and sure enough it was. I greeted him with much respect and offered them to go before us but he denied which was cool of him considering we had 7 4-doors which is more like 14 2-doors if you ask me.

Hundy exploded his U-Joint on the hundy pass today (bound to happen sooner-than-later with the 38's eh Hundy?) I attempted the Hundy pass after him and high centered (lots of fun) then six guys pushed the Bash Mobile from back...a little bit of rocking and I was set free.

Other than the broken U-Joint it was a great day. Here are some photos courtesy of SoCalifRubi (Red JK Unlimted).

I tried using the link from my facebook account instead of photobucket but it didn't quite work out.

I saw your Snow pics from today...looks like awesome fun. Glad you had a great time. When the weather warms up a bit we'll get a night run going on Bullfrog soon.

Those boys in them thar new fangled Jeeps know how to drive or what :o) Seems like you ought to give them some driving lessons lol. I looked on the JK forum for the pics, looks like you all had a awesome time, did Hundy put the run together? That's pretty cool

Ya Hundy put the run together. The guys drive well but the JK Unlimited's are fairly long for some spots and if you don't watch where your going....clink...scrape....high centered.

                Shant,

Sorry that I didn't make it. I liked the picture of you going down "Jeep Eater". I took the line to the left, but next time it'll be right down the notch! Looks like a another great day!

The JKs have a "dont get stuck" button on the dash--- those guys just forgot to push it!!!LOL!

Mine even has auto pilot and an air conditioned cabin with a bar!LOL!

I forgot to push my "dont break a steering joint" button!

Talked to my dealer- they are going to warranty it even with the 38"s. And I am going to order Chromos, then use the stockers as spares.

Thanks for posting the pics Bash!

Sorry I didnt post the run here, guys--- I didnt want you guys being held up by 10 4drs on the trail!
We'll do a mixer next time (Bash doesnt count because he is just Jeep nutty anyways!)

Hundy, I would give Bobby Long a call and see about a set of his new Birfields for Rubicons. I would go this way when I need axles:

                      http://www.longfieldsuperaxles.com/

I have his Birfields on my Formula Toyota and they are amazing. I run 39.5 IROKs on a Toy 8 inch ring and pinion and his axles still look almost new after 3-4 years of Hammers, etc abuse.

Here is a link on Pirate for them:

Cougar Butte is part of Johnson Valley. It is about 30 minutes up the road from Means dry lake.
