  • Trail Run: Trails North of Lucerne Valley

Well Nipple Twister, Mrs. Twister (That would be John & Kristi) and I explored the trails north of Lucerne Valley in the Ord & Rodman Mtns. Mitch was supposed to go with us but had a little mishap yeaterday on the "Hairy Crack Trail". (Geeze this post is starting to sound X rated.)

Here's a map of the route we ran. There are a lot of errors on this map for trail numbers. I want to contact the BLM and find out if they are updating the map to reflect the new trail designations. Also, where it looks like we are not on a trail, we were and it was clearly marked.

To be clear, here's the stop number descriptions:

    1. Mining cabin ruins
    2. Quill Spring - it had water in it this trip
    3. Tungsten mine - we went in it.
    4. Ord mtn. ridge overview, you can see 100 miles from here.
    5. Rock miner's cabin. Sorry it's off this map.

It was a beautiful day, great companions, and just a fun relaxing trip. A perfect start for the new year.

    A few pics .......

Roger, we had a great time. Kris was talking about when we going back on the way home. We ended up stopping in Banning for some "Churches" chicken and a pit stop for the "kids".
The mine shaft exploring was fun as well, by the way, hows the head? (sorry, not tonight I have a headache) hehehe
