Trail Report: Marron Valley-Sycamore Canyon

I was able to get out of the house for a bit today to explore a few areas east of San Diego near the US/Mexican border. The border patrol is having a new trail built so they can have easier access to the backcountry. On our way out we were flagged down by a hunter who had his truck stuck on the side of a hill. This was no place for a 2WD. Good thing we had a chain to wrap around the frame. It was a fun dusty day!















That highway is in Mexico.

Looks like it was a fun trip! I sure wish there were more descriptions on the photos. Some were very interesting - like the old rock building!

Pretty amazing how many gorgeous places there are in the So Cali area
