  • Trail Report: Calico Doran and odessa

4 of us had an invite to go wheeling in Calico with some of the folks from Gadzuuk, a local samurai club
One very nice built XJ that came along with us managed to tackle the Doran gate keeper with some small amount of body damage, once he got through there we did odessa where one of the Samurai's snapped an axle shaft on the waterfall. The ofcamber part that takes windshield frames and tops turned out to be relatively easy for the whole group.
After that we explored a couple of mines and ate lunch. We finished up with a very nice and very rocky trail, nothing but rocks and low range from start to finish. All in all an awesome day in the desert

He had some scrapes on the side and on the tailgate nothing to major looked worse when he was rubbing on the rocks. He has a very nicely built XJ.
Other than that a broken axle shaft on one samurai, and the red Jeep dented a rocker panel, outside of that smooth sailing. The YJ is almost a complete buggy with air shocks all around nicely built has a klune in it.

So Santa was there! Any body damage on that XJ just adds to its character. BTW, That is his latest version. Last one was rolled end over end on Cleghorn.

Not sure, but I guess it is a spot famous for rolls.

that XJ is really cool. He actually totaled it a while back from a bad roll, and re-built the entire thing to be exactly like it was before. NIce pics!
