  • Trail Run: West JV area - Bullfrog Trail

    November 15th, 2008 Bullfrog Trail in Johnson Valley

    Trail rating - Most Difficult.

    Vehicle requirements: Lifted, 32"+ tires, 1 locker, rocker protection.
    Trail is designed for a modified Wrangler. IFS Liberties may (will) have a difficult drive.

    Details:
    Meet at 76 station in Lucerne
    Hwy 18 & Hwy 247
    9:00 a.m.
    CB Channel 25
    Mike Koher 909-553-7230

    Trail Location:
    Cougar Buttes - Johnson Valley OHV Area. Hwy 247 & Camp Rock Rd. (approx.)

          Not sure on where Mike originally hails from but he currently resides in Crestline and is a cabinet maker. Doubt that helps.....Anyhow, Mike is good people and a great trail guide that knows his trails and loves to wheel w/ others.

            I'm interested! Never been to JV. How much time should I allow to drive out there from Orange County?

              looks like about 90 miles. Can be slow going through Apple Valley area if you hit all the red lights.

                Take D St. instead of Bear valley Rd. It's two exit's or so north and a lot quicker. D St. is Hwy 18 go east.

                    We are going to try to attend this run with you guys. I have to clear it with the Mrs. - she's pretty good about saying yes to those types of things.
