  • Trail Report: Big Bear

Well, this was our first trip up to Big Bear and I gotta say I had a blast! Really dusty at times and had my front axle vacuum actuator crap out on me until I got it figured out back at camp. Base camp was Big Pine Flat group camp. On saturday we ran Jacoby Canyon and Heartbreak Ridge. It was just past the squeeze when I lost power to my front axle. Sunday, we played around on White Mountain. Next time we head up we'll have to make it a three or four day weekend, there's so much more I want to explore.

The first trail run was a little too long for the wife, but she didn't complain.

We past that 4x4 training rig on Saturday. Where were you on Sat?

On saturday we were on Jacoby Canyon and Heartbreak Ridge. I think that training rig was on John Bull. I kept an eye out but didn't see any MJR stickers.

Saturday we ran Cleghorn then up 3n17x where we saw the training rig along with a group trying the center run up the steep incline. There must a handful of those 'training rig's.
Looks like you had a great time, and I know the weather was just fabulous.
