I Met with Ken (Fully Locked TJ)and son and girlfriend,daughter and Bill (Rubicon)with son and friend for a cruise up 3N59A (Blue)from DeepCreek Road to 2N61Y (Black Diamond). We left at 7:00am and headed up 3N59A for a long steep climb towards Bowen Ranch and 3N14 (Coxey Truck Trail). This first trail was a scenic view for the first half, we could see all of Hesperia, Victorville, and south to Silverwood Lake and Dam. A cool medium trail. We then hit 3N14 and headed to the Big Pine Campground. The trail is blocked here to Fawnskin so we took 3N16 across the burn area through Holcolm Valley to Hwy 18. We hit
2N02 and drove to Heartbreak Ridge 2N61Y. My Transfer Case shifter came off in my hand as we headed down the trail so we took a short lunch break while I removed it to install at a later time. We drove to the first challenge and it looked like the recent thunder storms did a number on this section (we saw several wash outs along the trip to this point). Ken went first and finally found the best line through, then Bill (I have a Rubicon, no problem) got hung up on a few spots (Diff), and then it was my turn. After getting lined up correctly and some good spotting from Ken, I cruised up without a problem! It was fun to watch the JK's that followed us (one of which drove this recently) say that there was no way today with the wash outs! That felt good. We drove a little further and someone noticed that my steering stabilizer was falling off, so we removed that and continued on. We somewhere missed the turn for the loop (My first time here) and we ended up back to 2N01 to 2N02. So I got a Short taste of the full trail, but I'm ready anytime. We left by driving 2N02 to 2N03 (Cactus Flats) and to Hwy 18. Almost 70 miles of dirt trails today!!!!!!!!!

Following Bill to 2N01
