Anyone out there in Flagstaff, I will be going out to see my daughter on the weekend of July 12th. (she just moved there) I would love to get in a day of wheelin' up in those mountains if there are any jeep trails. PM me if you live in the area and want to hit the trail that weekend.

Scott, there are some awsome trails over there. You will be most happy you went.

The Cinders! There is a large OHV park just north of Flagstaff (about 10 minutes north) that is volcanic cinder cones. It's weird, but really cool. A lot like driving in sand. Nothing grows there other than pine trees, so it's like driving through an alien forest.

You can drive right up the sides of volcanoes. It's really cool.

What about the 120 degree weather? Are you sure you can wheel in that heat?

I think it is actually alot higher- maybe more like 7000 ft. It's pretty nice there in the summer.

Google Earth shows Cinder Hills OHV park at 6697 feet.
They say it neve even reaches 100 degrees up there.
But I live in Victorville. So wheelin' in the heat ain't a problem.
