  • John Bull Video

I Love John Bull TRail. I'll go back anytime.

We ran White Mountain after John bull with Russ and Tony M. White mountain was a beautiful scenic trail but very dangerous. 0 MARGIN for error. That trail climbs through very narrow shelf roads, very loose ground and rocks with miles of drop offs. One wrong move and your DEAD. You won't find me on White Mountain ever again...but John Bull anytime :thumbs_up

Nice vid! I wish that I could have joined you guys. I've still not ran John Bull in the East to West direction.

I don't have a desire to go back to White Mtn either, but for a different reason. Other than the short stretch between 3N11 and 3N16 (which I really like), I thought that the trail was just long, rough, and boring. Given your description, maybe I need to run it again to refresh my memory.

Sweet video . . . Thanks for sharing Bash! Pretty jealous over here . . . I'd been really itchin' to join you guys. I've only done John Bull once . . . I was pretty new to the whole Jeepin' thing and my Rubi was pretty much stock . . . needless to say it kinda kicked my butt. Can't wait to get back up there and give it another go. Let me know next time you guys plan to run it . . . Big Bear is a bit far from me for a one day excursion, but if you ever do a weekend trip . . . maybe Gold Mtn/Bull one day and Dishpan/etc the other :dunno: Hope to see you all out on the trail soon.

Hey Barney . . . Didn't you just get that Jeep? Sure is cool to see you out there puttin' her to the test . . . as much as you're wheelin, I'm sure I'll see you soon!!!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Video editing is a hobby of mine. Our offroading runs go by so fast. I usually can't wait to get out there and run the trail and once we're done I look back and think to myself "I can't believe the day is over already". The videos and pictures are all we got.

When I combine the videos with the music, I edit, cut and move around the scenes so it actually feels like a movie trailer. Even if there were some bad moments on the run, the videos bring back the best moments of the run.

If you would like to see other offroading videos of mine, click on the "My Youtube Channel" in my signature.

                      Very cool video!

Why did very one take the left hand line at the little rock garden near the top of the hill? I always like going to the right and squeezing by the big rock:

Some did the left and most did the right. I did the right. They're both nice.

BTW, the "Driver of the Day" award goes out to Curtis for wheeling through John BUll with a "modified" tie rod. And the trail "Step Up" Award goes to Critter (Don Davison) for steping up and helping critter "re-modify" the tie rod. :thumbs_up

                            Very nice work!

I see that Waywegoes didn't manage to get the big tree/brushpile removed on the west side (bypass is still there through the trees) - we'll have to work on that.
