2N17X Night Run 6/16/2008

Where: Lake Silverwood Dam
Trail: 2N17X
Time: 6:30pm at trailhead
Rating: Black Diamond (it's not that bad, just steep hills)
Expectations: A quick run although we might make a few stops to enjoy the scenery and the sunset.

MrBash, i also live in rancho cucamonga off the 15 and summit. I'm interested in going monday night. I get home at 5:00 and should be able to make it up there by 6:30.

Nothing, IMHO. For the one knarly hill in the middle of the trail (trail is only 4 miles long), there is a bypass. However, lockers would help because there are many cross axle situations. If you can run all the offshoots of Cleghorn, you can run 2N17X. It's very similar, just a bit steeper in parts. The last hill changes all the time though. My last time through the last hill had all the ruts filled in (naturally it appeared, not by crews), but was very loose dirt which made it a bit of a scramble to get up.
