    Looks like a fun place http://members.cox.net/rough-riders2...ruckhaven.html cool pics on that link, was wondering if any of you had been out there

    I'm not sure of the current status of this area... open or closed. Last I'd heard there was a lawsuit in progress to close the area permanently.

      It is still open for the most part. It is a great place to wheel.

        Truckhaven

        The area is still opened. Just can't have organized events where a fee is collected without a permit which they won't issue.
        Stay out of section 17 which is marked. That"s the area where the Fire Hyd. is (Big Mesa) belongs to the ABD Foundation.

            Been out there wheeling the last 3 years. Lots of twisty off-camber stuff. Just make sure you check before going over & down any obstacle...even with tire tracks, sometimes it's a trap (drop off) on the other side.

              Check out the latest issue of Low Range magazine. The cover shot is from Truckhaven and the feature story is about the Desert Safari (pictures and stories submitted by my hubby and yours truly) :smile:.
