Pilot Rock to 2N17X Sunday June 8, 2008

Due to rising gas prices and my upcoming trip to Pismo, I will be running the local Pilot Rock Trail (Blue) to 2N17X (Black) up to the Rock Playground area and then back down to Hwy 138. Would anyone like to join?

Over-all both trails are easy, scenic and fun day-runs. 2N17X has a steep hill which can be bypassed.

Meeting time will be at Pilot Rock Trail at 9:00am.

I would like to but unfortunately am not a mo0rning person since I work the graveyard shift. Noon would work for me 2n17X is fun and its not that long a trail
I have ran that and Dishpan in an afternoon.

No fair! I've been itching to run 2N17X lately, but I am going to Georgia to see my Mom & Dad this weekend.

A group of AAT volunteers will be working on the Holcomb trail on Saturday. I might stay up there over night and join up with you Sunday. If I show at the meeting place you'll know that I'm going...

Hmm..Pilot Rock is our clubs Adopt-a-trail and I need to get up there to see whats doin' and to plan a run to work on it. Maybe I will show up and run it. Have yet to do 2n17x too.

Pilot Rock is in good shape...as far as what I saw a month ago. I love to run that trail all the time, it's beautiful. I hope more people will end up coming. Every "can't make it" I read is another "damnit" out of my mouth. I'll be there regardless and looking forward to wheeling with you guys/gals. There will be a couple of guys from JK-forum.com along with my buddy in his VW Touareg (if he gets the balls to lock the center diff and put the damn thing into low gear some day soon).

the 9:00am meeting time is at Pilot Rock Trail which should not take more than 1 1/2 hours to run through. I'm guessing we'll be at 2N17X at about 10:30 or 11:00 depending on how many stops we make to take photos. Maybe you can meet us at 2n17x around that time. I'll PM you my number and we'll be on channel 16 on the CB. Hope to see you there.

Dave wants to do Rattlesnake tomarrow. We'll meet up next time. I did do a quick run up Cleghorn today with Roger and the weather was perfect. Hope you guys have a safe day, watch out for the quads and motorcycles, there were a bunch out today.
