We have arranged a recovery class with Frenchie LeChance of 4Western Adventures. http://www.4westernadventures.com/

The course will cover the safe use of a Hi-Lift, recovery strap and winch. The course will take place at Ocotillo Wells SVRA on March 8th. More details can be found here

    http://www.socal4x4geocachers.org/mo...&t=678&start=0

The class is limited to 20 participants and cost will be dependent on # of participants. If all 20 slots are filled the cost will be $15 per person.

I seem to lack a winch, Hi-Lift Jack and the desire to drive to Ocotillo Wells. I really want that knowledge, though.

I'm interested but my mom is having (minor) surgery on the 7th and I'll be visiting her over that weekend.

Doug, thanks for posting this though, any more recovery classes you find out about please post. One of the many reasons I haven't put a rush on mounting my winch is I don't know how to safely use it. I've done some reading and I like to think I have good common sense, a recovery class still seems like a good idea.

For anybody else, this is good reading:
