Nice pics, looked like fun. That is proof that a high lift is a handy trail tool. You here so many people saying they are dead weight.

Great Time
Thanks to everyone for making such a large group fun.
That was a memorable day of wheeling.
The best part being that the sun came out, just in time for the trail, great conditions with great people.
And the rain here at home cleaning the Jeep for me...:whip::bolt:
And, pics will be up soon....David aka Mr.Orange

TOO MUCH MUD!!! Glad I didn't go!
Looks like fun other than that! Thanks for sharing pictures! Let's see some more! I saw others there with cameras! If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?

we got on all the big rocks we could find. I had to get winched out of the first spot got turtled. I got to yank the guy in front of me out. The mudhole was fun. got to see a bunch of dirtbikers get stuck. Wasn't as bad as it looked thought.
Got to see some nice jeeps out there. Will do that trail again.Last edited by womb raider 940; 01-27-08, 01:19 PM.Ford Raptor 6.2l

Some of the pictures shown are not what I consider "Tread Lightly." Leaving the main trial to drive over other obstacles is irresponsible. Particularly in a state park. It's these idiots that are going to ruin it for the rest of us. Why can't people pull their heads out and enjoy the trail for what it is? I see this every time this crowd (MyJeepRocks) goes on this trail and it makes me sick. You guys don't know how hard local clubs have fought to keep that trail open and you certainly don't seem to appreciate it. Thanks for making their efforts more difficult.

Terry,
Sounds like you really are having a bad day. All of the guys that I run with (myjeeprocks) show great care on the trails. They do "adopt a trail", and Calico clean-ups, and El Mirage clean-ups. They always bring trash bags and not only clean-up after themselves, but also clean up after everyone else. When they had an oil pan leak, they scooped the contaminated sand and removed it from the trail. The MJR people seem to support trail issues, Forestry issues, BLM issues, and have always shown a concern for our wheeling rights.
Good luck with your next Jeep club, I hope that they are perfect and always make you happy.

Lol. Well I only ride with mjr's. Didn't see anything bad. The trail is well marked with rock's. No one left it. I think there were three group ride's that day. When we go out we are always cleaning up after ourselves and not damaging anything out there.Ford Raptor 6.2l

Just my :2: . . . I can't speak for this particular trail or trip, but as far as the MJR crowd, I’ve been on many runs with this group and would have to disagree with your assumptions. I’m fairly new to this sport, and had it not been for MJR I doubt I’d even be familiar with the phrase “Tread Lightly”, let alone have a group of responsible people to wheel with. One of the best things about site is that the more experienced and knowledgeable people are open to taking newbies like me in, and educating them on the do’s and don’ts of the sport. Perhaps rather than throwing around insults, you could share your knowledge and help us understand what we can collectively do to keep our lands open.
P.S. – Check out the MJR roster for the upcoming Calico Clean-Up!!!That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

i think i know what this is about, There is a spot in a wash that is a keep out area. it is clearly marked in some area's. Where one Jeep went into the wash there were no signs that could be seen. I remember last time out there were were told to stay out and there are signs there. But the route he took into the wash there are no signs to stay out.
I have been with the MJR crowd for some time now and they are a great group, such a great group that i bring my little children along and have never had a problem. i thought the rocks on the trail were fair game.
PS i had a great time on the BIG BOY TRAIL !!! I am so glad i stretched my Jeep.moon buggy
