I picked this off the CORVA site.

The CORVA event at Truckhaven has been canceled for this weekend. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this last minute announcement may cause.

Due to a legal challenge by the Center for Biological Diversity and the Desert Protective Council, our attorney has advised us that it is in our best interest to cancel the event and withdraw the request for a Special Event Permit from California State Parks. Although this may feel like a loss, remember, we are in this for the long run. We need to work in conjunction with State Parks so Truckhaven will remain open and available for OHV usein the future.

Unfortunate circumstances, The permit got yanked today, one day
before the event. Our lawyer chose not to fight this for now and advised
    us to sit it out.

Fortunately, the press is all over this and we may get a positive push
from this. It makes the CBD look like the bully. They have attacked one
of the smaller "Events" in attempt to bask in the glory. Hopefully this one will backfire on them in the eye of the public. CORVA members and anyone else for that matter are still allowed to camp and recreate in Truckhaven.

Yup, just like it was predicted. The state buys the property with no opposition from CBD and now CBD threatens the state. Why wasn't there any concern from the CBD when the property was is private hands? Because if the CBD brought a law suit against the private land owners, the CBD wouldn't be able to collect ALL LEGAL expenses if they won. The CBD does get their legal expenses paid if they win in court against the government.

What do you think are the implications then for TDS this year at Truckhaven? Is there going to be a TDS at truckhaven this year?

Reading the report from Corva. It was the organized event that was the problem for now, You can still camp and recreate out there as an individual.
