I just passed through Hwy 62 over the weekend, first on the 13th at about dusk (looked increditable by sad at the same time) then just a few hours after the time of that report and what a difference. Those fire fighters must have worked there a$$ off. We did see quite a few (from various agencies) coming in for the night. The kids enjoied waving at them as we passed by.

Just seeing this post - nothing much to add. Looks like rain (heavy) coming that way though

                Fire

Thanks for the replies. I was up by Lake Silverwood yesterday. There appeared to be a lot of haze but no smoke. I think I made radio contact with members of the group on 2N17X. I was on 2N33 in my Pickup. Didn't feel my long wheel base and IFS could handle 2N17X. Any how we didn't meet up as the other F150 with me had Transmission problems so we took Miller Canyon Rd. and made it back to the blacktop. Glad he had AAA 100 mile card as it had no foward motion. Didn't think CHP would appreciate pulling a vehicle with a tow strap on the freway.

The MJR group you were talking to was CJBrian, SWBooking and Rat patrol. Sorry to hear you had a break down; we looked for you at the intersection of Pilot Rock and 2N17X. Sounds like you made it back ok.
