I received a call from a Victorville Daily Press reporter today regarding the above referenced plan. Apparently there is a gentleman gathering signatures to oppose the plan because it is used by hikers and horseback riders. I told the reporter that this area has been heavily used by motorcycles and ATV's for a very long time. I feel the forest should be open for everyone to enjoy, but I thought it would be difficult for horses and motorcycles to mix safely.
I'm thinking that the gentleman opposing this plan may be stretching it a bit saying it's used by hikers and horseback riders.
If you or anyone you know rides in this area should get involved in this process. It's really more of a motorclycle/ATV issue than a Jeep issue.
