That was one of my comments to the Marines on JV. The really did the bare minimum to reach the smallest population they could. If Walmart (or any business) wants to build a store they have to put up signage, etc. The Marines should have put up billboards and handed out info at the entrances. No government agency does that. And then on top of that, all you have to do is put forth a suit and no further construction can go forward until resolved at the public sector level. Oh and that seems to also work for the CBD whenever they want to close an area to other than their preferred use.

I think public notice should absolutely include posted notices at the trail heads. I am still fuming mad at the demolition and land rape perpetrated by the SBNF on Cleghorn Trail. A single sign at the trail head would have informed THOUSANDS of users of that trail, instead of the clandestine middle of the night hijincks they pulled. I still feel that the Director of SBNF should be fired, and then jailed for fraudulent misuse of public funds.
